Assembly WrapUp

In Real Estate, it is often said, there are only three things that make a property valuable: “Location... Location...Location!”

In congregations the three things that I would advise are these: “Communication...Communication ...Communication! “

At the heart of conflicts that develop, plans that go awry and relationships that break down, you will find poor to non-existent communication every time. The basic flaw I see is that people assume communication is a simple 2-Step thing:
#1 - I Speak.  #2 - You hear.
Voila!  And communication happens!

If you and I are serious about communicating in a way that builds for mission, we need to expand our communications to the 10 steps listed below.

Maybe 10 steps aren’t necessary for every communication in the life of your congregation. I would hope that there would always be more than the 2-Step Method, I spoke of in my introduction.  And for big events, broad new missions, tough times and big changes you’d be better off making sure to follow these 10 Steps to the letter every time.
