Cultivating Generous Congregations Fall Cohorts announced
Cultivating Generous Congregations: Fall Cohort! Starts October 22—4 sessions (10/22, 10/29, 11/12, 11/19) all online via Zoom (5:00-6:30 p.m. CDT)
How do we, as communities of faith, change our thinking on stewardship and generosity to meet the challenges of the moment? In partnership with the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, the ELCA is offering congregations the opportunity to reexamine their stewardship thinking and imagine ways to act on their findings in their communities.
The 4 sessions (10/22, 10/29, 11/12, 11/19) are presented to the cohort, live, online via Zoom (5:00-6:30 Central Time Zone). Training in “Cultivating Generous Congregations” offers virtual cohort sessions where congregational leaders discuss, dissect and collaborate with others on how generosity might work more effectively in their contexts.
The cohort now costs just $350 per congregation! This includes 1 CGC Resource book (additional resource books ($25 each but not needed). AND…Payment is AFTER 11/19 session. (Also note: The price of CGC at $350—especially when you consider the possible $250 Thrivent Action Grant—makes this a “MUST” for any congregation/leader that is hearing, “We need help with money!”)
Registration: REGISTRATION Cultivating Generous Congregations (CGC) Oct 22-Nov 19, 2024
Watch this four-minute video, Cultivating Generous Congregations, for a deeper look at what the training entails. (NOTE: Video was made for Spring 2023 but information on “content” and “how presented” is valuable for leaders to see “how this works.”)
Contact the Rev. Larry Strenge (Larry.Strenge@elca.org) and/or Rev. Tim Brown (Tim.Brown@elca.org) if you’re interested in participating but still have questions! We are happy to answer questions and help get congregations registered for the Fall cohort.
