Something New

Do you see it?! There it is! On the top of the newsletter! We are excited to share the brand new logo developed just for the East Central Synod of Wisconsin.

What do you see in the new logo?

Are you drawn to the cross?

Do you see the waters of baptism and the waves that call to mind the bodies of water that name our conferences?

Do you see the three lines that remind us that as church we take on three forms: congregations, synod, and chruchwide? Or that we are church in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

Do you see the sunset or sunrise and the reminder that we are in relationship with creation? Do you see the light of resurrection and a reminder that we are called to be light to the world?

Do you see the gaps that leave space to fill in with fresh new ideas and remind us of those who are missing from our table? Do you see our identity rooted in inclusion of all people?

Do you see the loaf of bread or the host that reminds us of Jesus or the two haves that remind us that even though we may feel broken we are whole in Christ?

Do you see the red, yellow, blue, and green that echo the logo of the ELCA?

The logo that you see has come along way from the top right page of Jens' notebook. It was drawn, developed, and designed in conversation with Jens Bringsjord who has been working with the synod to develop a new, fresh, more intentional communication strategy.

We have been working to strengthen communication because we recognize that as people who bear the Word, Jesus Christ, to the world - the words we share about THE Word are not just important - but have the capacity to be life changing.

We give thanks to God for Jens, his wisdom, encouragement, and presence. We can't wait to share the new website with you soon!
