LAND Acknowledgement

Land Acknowledgements are a part of the reconciling work we share in Christ.

In our shared work, we strive to nurture and uphold the dignity of American Indian and Alaska Native people, their congregations and communities, and the church.

Register for Land Acknowledgement Panel Discussion

Now is the time to register for the Land Acknowledgement Panel Discussion on March 11th from 4-5:30 pm. Register to receive a zoom link to participate.

A great way to take part in the panel may be to have a viewing party together at your congregation. Viewing this panel with confirmation or other youth groups, family, friends, or congregation members will be a good way to start a conversation about present day relationships and justice. We pray that learning about Land Acknowledgements will help make connections and lead to actions that may reduce barriers and build bridges for all of God’s people.

If your ministry setting hasn't already done so, you may want to create a Land Acknowledgement in your congregation using resources at https://elca.org/indigenous.
