Dear Synod, Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus whose journey to the cross is our life and salvation.Every day we are receiving new information about COVID-19, the short-hand name for the disease coming from coronavirus 2019. There are many types of coronaviruses, one of which is related to the common cold. The one causing COVID-19, however, is a new or novel one previously not seen in humans. While scientists and health professionals are still learning about COVID-19, the disease appears to be more serious and life-threatening than the flu, especially to older adults and the more vulnerable among us.
What We do.
Walking With Congregations
We walk with our congregations through times of transition, conflict, and celebration. We want all of our congregations to be places where our members can live out their vocation in the mission of Jesus Christ.
We lift up candidates for ministry in the larger Church and guide them through the call process. We aim to lift up leaders through seminary support, lay school, and a variety of workshops.
The Synod Assembly is an annual event in which rostered leaders and lay leaders gather to conduct the annual business of the Synod, elect the Bishop, and build fellowship and communion with one another.
Events and Programming
The Synod sponsors a variety of events and programs ranging from congregational empowerment to Clergy theological training.
Through workshops, resources, and guidance the Synod supports our congregations in their everyday ministry.
